I've had Bitdefender for 2 years now.I really like it.
Stay away from Norton,it takes up to much system resources.

avg free from grisoft .com get it through downlaod.com the only thing it has a problem with is the wmv viruses and i have been able to vault em and delete em...highly recommended.

I'd have to agree about norton i didnt care for it. Installed the new mcafee and beleave it far better and easier to use.

Hard one to answer, i'll tell you what NOT to install however. Don't touch norton, it is bloated software that is hard to work around when you need to, and almost impossible to get rid of.

I switched to mcafee a while back and have been really happy with it.

norton,mcafee, or bitdefender are the best picks
i would avoid avast or avg as there protection and removal are leacking
