Some helpful tips -
1. There arent any magic weight gainer powders or supplements, it is a waste of money. (same goes for those trying to lose, there is no magic pill!)
2. Eating calorie dense foods (foods with lots of calories in a serving) will help as long as they are healthy choices. things like nuts, seeds, avocados, fish, pasta, all are packed with calories as well as vital nutrients. obviously potato chips are high in calories but you wont get the same nutritients. so these foods give you great energy and FAT, which is not bad for you as long as it is unsaturated, found in the stuff above.
3. Keep your diet healthy in general. fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean protien. you would think pounds can be added with just a bunch of junk food, but without a healthy diet you can be undernourished.
4. Muscle weighs more than fat. you'll have plenty of energy to exercise with a healthy diet, and to add bulk or definition resistance training and things like lifting weights can help. i bet anyone at your local gym could give you tips about this.
5. Just try and sneak in some extra calories when you can. like a bunch of snacks between meals, like a handful of nuts, powerbar or whatever.
***it just comes down to taking in more calories than you burn in a day! and add muscle with exercise!***
good luck, and be happy and healthy..

sumo wrestlers eat lots of tofu.
I finally gained weight when I stopped participating in sports. Sit around and watch tv. working from home and being around the fridge all day also helps.
and when you go to sleep, visualize yourself looking like santa claus (or arnie, or whatever body type you want).
also, hang around big people and do what they do. your body actually tries to adapt to be like those around you.
