I would opt for lentil soup. Usually I would have some already made in the fridge. It does take a while to make if you haven't already done that but it is very nutritious and tasty if you add some spices

Depends what you mean by 'quick'!
Tomato/Lentil/Red pepper soup - Fry onions, pepper + garlic til brown, add tin of plum tomatoes, 3-4 handfuls of lentils, bay leaf, oregano + 1 and a half to two pints of veg stock - bring to boil, simmer for half hour - lovely healthy soup. serve with crusty bread.
or
Bake jacket potato (can be put on before you go for walk) on return serve with grated cheese, red onion, beans, coleslaw etc

hot grilled cheese sandwiches with some kind of hot steaming soup by it's side. Maybe a nice hot cup of cocoa to drink.
