The only reason I would say yes go for weight watchers is because you are in a group and you will be encourage by the friends you will meet there, and you will have a balanced diet to follow
Good Luck,

Absolutely not - weight watchers is an appalling eating plan. I have people presenting at my practice all the time who are on weight watchers. I tell them it doesn't work and they always fall into the trap by saying "Oh it does, I lost 4 stone last time." Any plan that has you thinking about food so much, denying yourself stuff, cutting calories and being able to save up points to eat bars of chocolate is nuts. Weight watchers works really well for weight watchers - you will always be going back and each time you will have put on more weight. The best eating plan to follow is a Low GL plan. Enlist the help of friends and set up your own meeting so you can get weighed and give each other the support. Alternatively, go and see a nutritionla therapist who will help you get your diet on track and work with you to feel fantastic. Good luck.

Do you want to watch what you eat your whole life? Diets do not work, if they did there would only be the need for one. You need to eat small meals/snacks frequently during the day and if you are prone to putting on weight then do some exercise. My friend had tried every diet under the sun, she loves food and that is her problem so she now goes to the gym 4 times a week has lost the weight she wanted and is keeping it off without dieting. I eat everything I want, but I stop when Im full and have been the same size for years.

Yes, good idea. You have low will-power and so to try and lose the weight on your own will be very difficult, as you have no motivator or guide to keep you in check. If, however, you have to attend a meeting once a week, be weighed in public and receive applause for a loss or a frown for a gain, then actually that kind of public reckoning really does help, because you are consciously thinking about standing in front of 30 people and receiving their admiration for your efforts.
I'd try it, what do you have to lose (apart from your weight)? Good luck.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Loads of people swear by it. Pesonally it has nver helped me. I too have low will power. I have found over the years (and after trying EVERY diet in the book) that the best thing is to eat sensibly, cut down extra fats and sugar. Note I say cut down and not cut out - a little of what you fancy does not do too much harm,. Try to walk instead of using the car, and climb the stairs intead of using the lift. I have lost some weight and kept it off and also feel more in control of my body and have learnt to accept myself as I am.

Good luck and Happy New Year.

Weight Watchers is fab, the whole group support thing is good and you do lose weight, slowly but surely. However, I would do exercise instead and reduce intake of rubbish. Thing with WW is they encourage you to eat low fat and diet products, which i don't think are good for you. But, if you are very overweight, maybe it's worth it. You have to really wnat to do it.

Yes, if you like tinned tuna fish. When I joined it a few years ago, that seemed to be in every recipe. The food they suggest you eat is all factory stuff - the weight watchers brand of course - so it's tins, packets and frozen stuff. If you don't like cooking and you do like tinned tuna fish, it's ideal. If you prefer real, fresh food, you probably won't stick at it.

Get a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day, then eat sensibly. Try this website

I've just signed onto Tesco Diets online and I prefer it to weight watchers (having become very fed up with WW over the years!) It gives you a personal menu based on your own tastes and likes and a huge selection of alternatives if you want. All quick and easy to access. It seems to have a good success rate so fingers crossed this time!

Well Slim Fast is a good option, it depends how "Plump" you are? There's new Slim Fast, I.E .. Thick Soup, Milkshakes, Meals, and even Chocolate Bars! How "Thin" do you want to be? Just keep believing in yourself, and stick to Weight Watchers or Slim Fast, which ever takes your pick. But don't starve yourself silly! A girls got to eat! =] Hope i gave some good advice.
