i'm living in dublin, ireland but will move back in a couple months. i'm curious how much cash i can carry in to the u.s. when i return?

As long as you dont have any more than $10,000 US dollars they will be fine with that... after that the US tax people will start to investigate..good luck..

They tend to get a little over anxious and involved if the monetary value is 10,000 +. Same as with a bank and making deposits or withdrawals of that much. Some questions will definitely follow.

you can carry as much as you like.

but but but beware you could be mugged as well.

its better to carry travellers cheques instead
