I think sometime you just meet someone and its not really love at first sight; but, you know whether or not it could turn into something great with this person. I once met someone at a wedding in a foreign country...we spent about 4 days together (no sex) and we kept in touch for about 4 years. It all about chemistry - right. Some people you are instantly attracted to and others you get to know better and they become more beautiful to you because of who they are inside.

I have never experienced that, but of course there is a mystery behind falling in love. As per statistics only 2% of love at first sights have a successful marriage and strong love life. Isn't it weird.....
rather the word soul mates gives you a clear idea of why people fall in love. This is something beyond to reality......
a person who is falling in love should be or is sure and clear about the future.... when he sees the person whom he/she loves he is seeing the beyond and is probably ready to achieve the goal and struggle for a comfortable life. If such a feeling comes.. when you see a person..... then probably you are in love....
The Same is beneficial for his/her partner.

My way of looking at it is that somewhere in your brain there is a picture or imprint of the one you will marry. I think it is much to do with natural selection imprinted on us from prehistoric times. You will walk in a mall/park/somewhere and if the "right person" walks past, you will know it. The problem sometimes exist in that their picture is not you. Then you must work on it because you know that their picture must be a bit out of focus.
If their picture is in focus - Love at first sight
If their picture need a bit of tuning - Love at later stage
If your picture was a bit out of focus - Walk around and look for somebody else.
All people have different "pictures" that is why all types of people find their other halves all over the world.

It tdepends. It just a first attraction and feeling you feel by instinct when you see the special one. Somehow, in your mind, you will be able to " sense" the one and then develop some special feelings for her. It's like your heart suddenly skip a bit and something tells you he/she is a potential special one. It's different from how you feel for your male pal where there's only friendship. No chemistry, no attraction involved. Just plain good fun and joy as friends.

Chemistry and physics claim that (since we are animals) the first thing we know (with our sleeping-but still existent- sixth sense) when we meet someone is if our children with him/her will be physically healthy.
This happens through some chemical substances that we smell on the other (without being aware of it) and they're called "pheromones".
That's what usually attracts one to another.

First sight love is actually first sight lust. Do not mix up lust with love. It's completely different. We all fall in lust because we all have sexual needs. It's that simple. That does not mean we are in love though.

Everybody is different and I don't really feel that there is an answer to that. You have to experience it for yourself to understand it and know...........never have had love at first sight so I wouldn't be any help there at all. Don't know that I believe.
