As they prepare to join the European Union, Romania and Bulgaria are struggling to contain human trafficking and smuggling, particularly in drugs, which is endemic in the Black Sea region that will soon become the EU's eastern border.
Every year, thousands of women , some as young as 13, are kidnapped or lured by promises of well paying jobs or marriage and sold to gangs who lock them up in night clubs and brothels or force them to work on the streets.

Unfortunately, even if we didn't let them join those problems would persist, and they would still spread over to the rest of Europe. The abducted women are often moved into other European countries, which makes this an European problem.
Now, when they become members we have better chances of combatting trafficking, and lock up the criminals who abduct women.
---
Trafficking is NOT an internal problem- trafficked women appear all around Europe, even UK.

you are one of ther specilists in the problem from the newspapers...
come and see how romania si and which traditions we have then write about it.
drugs are strictly forbidden and will not see drug addicts in Bucharest for days, there is no place where you can see that like in the west.
About trafficking: westerners are using the services, girls are driven by poverty and lack of education to pratice that but a market means also COnSUMERS not only providers.
so first take a better look in your courtyard and do not invent problems and dangers where there is not any.

the european union is the revived roman empire no body should join this organization these people have an evil goal of not only one world government but of one world currency just like prophesied in the bible supporters of the EU will face judgement from god the EU will be lead by the antichrist and will attempt global domination not neccasarily by force but politically like by adding countries for example adding and controlling bulgaria

This is for Bulgaria - no way they should be allowed to join. The minimum wage is a joke, the police is a joke, there is no protection for domestic abuse,no protection for children,no help for elderly, the health system is a joke.Until the politicians stop staling money and actually do something for the people they should NOT be allowed to join.

The EU isn't the solution. Social problems must be fixed internally before they are prepared to enter the union. Otherwise their problems will bring down the union as a whole.

The EU has not been good for everyone. I don't think EU membership would better the fate of kidnapped women, either. Some of the member nations are not known for their morality.
It would be better if they joined a Turkey-India union.
