The cosmos is profoundly large and dynamic, 4 billion suns exploding outwards into infinity, an orderly chaos of atom smashing reconstruction on a grand scale. The energy that connects all is minute but ever present. Conscousness is a struggle with this cosmic soup, we only know ourselves, our dreams and our fantasys.Like the fantasy of an old man and his plans and work shops even though all around us chaos rules, flying through space in a grand explosion. The quiet god idea is more like mold or slime in comparison to whats actually happing.
Can anyone understand my idea of spirituality, my connectedness to the big cosmic soup?

I agree totally with you except for two things, I call this Soup God and the energy, The light of Gods unconditional love. It is all consciousness. I have experienced two incidents of being in the middle of Chaos, & i can assure you that every atom involved was under total control of consciousness directing "the show".Have you studied Vedanta philosophy? You would take to Siddha yoga meditation like a duck to water, if you wish to consumate your search for understanding see syda.org/theguru, there is nothing to "join" you can still be an atheist if you wish.

Sure I understand. But I dont see how that makes you an athiest.

You recognize a wonderous, powerful universe that contrasts order and chaos. Energy that keeps re-creating itself and expanding.

Sounds like God to me. Just because you dont buy into the 'old man image' doesnt mean you dont understand the Source. It just means you see past it, to a deeper kind of truth. A different perspective to the very same thing

I think you need to stop sitting on the fence. If a person has as much understanding of scinece and reality as you seem to, then there's no room at all for spirituality for reality is alone, cold and celebant. In you I see a reluctance to let go of your need to believe in an unseen 'old man' figure looking out for you and keeping a place of warmth and shelter for you when you die. Be strong my young friend, accept that you alone are responsilbe for your own destiny.

Well I suppose it comes down to who is cooking the soup as you put it. There is a head chef, and very soon the soup in going to be done. Are we worthy to sit down and partake of it, we'll see.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the Angels did ask of God, "Is it soup yet?........"

There's this one guy in yahoo answers saying he is an atheist and that atheists don't believe in anything. You are both confusing us non-atheists.
