windows vista will be released around january if i'm not mistaken but the question that always hanging in my head is it is possible to play computer games which is compatible with windows xp to play using windows vista because i want to buy a new computer but p'm affraid that if i buy a computer with windows vista i wont be able to play computer games such as battlefield, call of duty, need fo speed, starcraft, counter strike and bla..........
so i need someone to tell me if i can play games using w. vista and tell me why if i can/ cant play games using it

There is not much difference between Windows Vista and Windows XP when it comes to software and programs compatibility. What u need to have is Windows Vista supported drivers of the video graphice card you are using. Don't worry, everything will be fine there as well.

Windows Vista is resource-hungry, so, keep that in mind when you configure the computer.
About games: yes, they might work, however... Starcraft (and I haven't heard this name for years...) might have some problems...
Depending on your security configuration (of Vista) some games might crash or even refuse to start. No one can tell which games.
I'd go for Vista, however, since XP is an oldie :).

You people need to do some more reading up on the new vista it has'nt came out yet and the hackers have already busted it. Vista has problem that microsoft will eventually deal with but to start you'l see there a problems with it. Me I'll wait at least one year for them to tweak it

Windows Vista will be out January 30,2007 for consumers (US release)...
Most of the games will work but sometimes they don't... Try research about the game compatibility online......
If they won't work, the game manufacturers will probably do something to make it work, ask them..
