There is no quick fix for depression. Usually a combination of medication and therapy is a good place to start. Once it is under control you will get back to being more like your old self.

Yoga has a few good poses to try out before you go to bed which are supposed to help you get some sleep, like 'plow pose' and 'legs up the wall pose'. Look them up on www.yogajournal.com, under 'poses'. I don't know if they work for serious insomnia because I don't suffer from it, but then I do yoga every day! Good luck, I really have sympathy with you. :-)

Oh find out why you are depressed. Increase physical activity, excercise regularly, eat healthy. It really does make a difference. Also positive thinking. Good luck

Two choices:
A. Go to a doctor who will give you medications that will cause brain cancer and a higher suicide risk
or
B. Exercise regurlary, eat plenty of Omega 3 fatty acids, spend time with freinds, get spiritual, sing and dance AND help others. Nothing makes you feel like your problems are miniscule more than helping others who are in need. Volunteer.
