If you were at fault I don't think you will get anything from the other driver. Even if they had insurance, if you were more than 50% at fault you can collect nothing.

Even if they had insurance you wouldn't get anything since you were at fault for the accident. Why would you think you would get anything because they are uninsured??

It was your choice to go with liability only on your vehicle. When you made that choice you also took on the responsibility of paying for any damages to your vehicle.

Insurance is to cover the damage you do to others, unless you have collision. Obviously you chose not to have collision, or your insurance would be fixing it, minus any deductible. Since you were at fault, the other driver's insurance wouldn't cover you if they had insurance, so their status really doesn't matter.

What would you sue them for? Not having insurance? Really not your concern. For the damage to your car? No, you would have to sue the person that caused the damage to your car, yourself.

When you chose liability only insurance, you essentially said "If I had an at fault accident that damages my car, I will pay out of pocket to save a few bucks on collision." You did. Pay it out to get your car fixed, or junk it and get something else. But don't try to blame someone else for your at fault accident.

You're at fault so I highly doubt anything will com eof a lawsuit. The lawyers will point out who was at fault and that'll be the end of it. Best bet is to start working some OT and get it fixed. Income tax is coming up soon too.

No, you do not have any other option. You have to prove that the other party was negligent in the accident - and being uninsured does not prove that.

Basically, you get to pay for it yourself or get a new vehicle.

you were at fault. Weather they have insurance or not, why would they be responsible for fixing your car????
