I feel really bad about it. It hurt her a lot and now I hate myself for doing such a terrible thing to someone that I love so much. What can I do to show her that it will never happen again and can she ever really trust me?

Nothing. You should not have cheated in the first place if you wanted to show her that you love her. People who love each other do not cheat on each other. What a moron.

You can't do anything, Dummy.

Maybe you should ask yourself why you cheated on her and why you would risk such a thing?

Hope for the best, expect the worst.

You did the crime and now you have to live with the consequences. Tell your girlfriend how sincerely sorry you are tell her that if she takes you back you will prove to her that it will never happen again (and you have to make sure it won't.)
But if she doesn't want to take you back, you really can't blame her, can you?
Just hope for the best and hope that she loves you enough to risk getting hurt again.

i agree with everyone else here..hard to take i know but if you really loved her you should have been able to muster up some self control. Been in the situation myself and it was never the same after we got back together..she'll never 100% trust you so the decision is yours

it will take a very very long time, but yeah. trust is one of those things that can go in a second and takes a long time to re-build.

if you both really love each other, then it will be worth it to you both to take the time to let you build her trust back up.

start by talking and keeping the lines of communication wide open.

but don't pressure her into forgiving and forgetting before she is ready.

yes i hope she will give u a chance only in the case u have to apologose to her and tell her tht u will never cheat agian, i know her heart is broken now and may she not listen to u also but be persistent and tell her about ur feelings, she will surely forget the matter and move on.

You really can't do anything now to salvage the relationship. She will never really trust you again, ever. No matter what you do, you're already tainted. C'est la vie.

you will just have yo give her time just tell her you love her and how sorry you are.

But dont expect mircales. if you just explain to her.

This wont happen straight away if it does happen.

It really is an unforgivable thing to do but maybe you have now learned your lesson and released that she truly is the one for you.

Best of luck

Well, she is "only" a girlfriend. Now, imagine she was your wife. Now imagine that you are her brother, not her boyfriend. Notice any difference in feelings?

Maybe you are not ready for a real relationship.
