Stollis is value for money. In this aspect, I would give it a 5. New designer vodkas are too pricey.

Stolichnaya vodka is a good bet. It's a great vodka which I would rate at a 4. However, as I have found out for myself, what makes a great vodka is in the eye of the beholder. For me, personally, I prefer vodkas of Slavic origin (which Ketel as the exception). If I was the receiver of your gift; I would be very happy to get Stolichnaya. However, if you gave me Ciroc or Grey Goose, I would be probably be unhappy. These two French vodkas have too much burn for my taste. Stolichnaya has a lot of burn as well, but that's only if you serve it straight (without chilling) which is not the way vodka is suppose to be served. I prefer Belvedere and Chopin over Stolichnaya, but Stolichnaya is a solid brand. I think Stolichnaya (or Stoli) is a good choice as a gift.

I assume you mean Stoli, as in Stolichnaya Vodka. Stoli is generally considered the original "top shelf" vodka. In more recent years, premium vodka has been a big business with companies bringing more refined vodkas to the market all the time. Stoli is still considered to be one of the best as it is not overly distilled (and therefore retains some of its flavor) and is the staple of a classic vodka martini.

I would say Stoli ranks up there with Absolut, kindo f middle of the pack, so 3 or 3.5. I find that Grey Goose is much smoother, as well as Belvedere or Vox or Skyy. Vox is not that much more expensive, but I think it is a better vodka. when I was in Vegas, one place would not comp Grey Goose, but would comp Kettle one and Skyy - that might give you a clue too.
That being said, Stoli is not bad. I drink Absolut myself quite often, and the flavored Stoli is pretty good too.

Stoli, short for Stolichnaya is the only vodka I drink. I think it tastes better tan Grey Goose, Ketel One, or Belvidere. And you must try the Stoli Gold. it's like drinking liquid silk.
