I'd like to know how memories are stored in our spirits after death. Since we won't have a brain and no neurons how will we remember things?

Please, no answers of "We just will." thanks.

Campadrenalin - please explain further, once you're dead you just wait around rotting?

RW - I'm afraid neuroscience would disagree with you there. Your brain directly records memories using brain cells. It holds more function than simply operating the body.

summon a spirit and ask it.

you do not need a brain to have memorys.

think of it this way.

the brain is like a computer processor. its job is to run the body, and to intepret between the soul and the corporeal body.

the soul itself is who you are, the person is the soul. imagine it like it being an organism that exists as energy in a way relatively similar to how the corporeal body exists in matter.

and this energy entity cannot very easily interact with the physical world, so it attaches to the body, and uses it like a vehicle, a container, to more readily interact with the physical world.

what we can observe in the brain is either merely a function of its operation of the body, or... you could say a sympathetic microcosm of the real entity.
like if you had an operating system, and loaded part of it into the memory directly attached to the processor. the whole of the operating system is still in this other state, just a little peice of it attached to the processor.

hopefully that makes some sense.

so basically the brain and neurons and such aren't how you remember it to begin with.

campadren is incorrect. that is NOT how it works. (I have had personal experience that proves that the self(soul) exists and persists after death, outside of the body.

edit to respond: you don't seem to be quite grasping what I'm saying.
imagine you have an "operating system" that only exists in "the net" it can function simply between the computers and in the networks, and isn't saved discretely in any one location.
now, imagine that with a special utility, you could interface your computer, to your "login" of that operating system. that the processor would download a fragment of that system into its immediate memory, enough to function as its running.

if all your looking at is the immediate function, it would indeed seem as though the operating system was entirely within the processor's memory.

the brain has a function of "saving" memorys and such, sure, but its REALLY just a microcosm of the true function, a temporary "flash memory" as opposed to the actual hard drive and backup's. if you don't know that the hard drive and backup is there, then you wouldn't even know to look for it.

the physical aspect of things is just one aspect of a much, much larger world and existance.
and yes, I am 100% serious, not just writing a long winded thing to try to get 10 points for effort.

You have a physical body, and a soul (your mind, emotions, and will) and a spirit. {1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV}

Your physical body is in the third dimension. Your brain which can compute, solve problems, etc. is physical.

Your mind is in the fourth dimension. Your consciousness and subsconsciouness is stored where? I think this is the question you are proposing.

When we die, we are not dead. Our physical body is dead but our soul and spirit are liberated and lives on in the fourth dimension. The spirit is the vehicle (an etheric substance) which houses our soul. Some people who are good at astral travel and out of body experiences can will their spirit to leave their physical body and then they project their consciousness into their spirit.

The Bible states that our spirit is connected to our physical body by a silver cord and at our death - this silver cord is broken. When our spirit leaves our body, the soul (our mind and consciousness) leaves with it and is stored in our spirit.

Remote viewing and time travel is done just by projecting the consciousness. The spirit and physical body is left intact "sleeping" or in a hibernation mode.

Antonio Demasio is the author of the book "The Feeling of What Happens". This book is all about consciousness. It may be of interest to you if you want to study deeply about the subject.

There is information about the spirit and soul and fourth dimension on the web site http://godisruleroftheuniverse.com

It is hard for us to completely understand the fourth dimension because we live in the third dimension. Your question is an excellent one, but even quantum physic scientists have a hard time answering this one.

Personally, (without scientific support) I think there is a disconnect between storage of memory and our brains. Yes there are ways to erase someone's memory by deleting a portion of their brain's acquired memories but I also think, deep down, *in the soul* everything we do is also being recorded. I don;t know, after death...your guess is as good as mine! Peace.

If I knew the answer to that, I'd be a spirit now wouldn't I. Or GOD! and I'm neither. I do believe that we become a form of energy though, and who says that the form of energy we take doesn't have a brain of some sort? Life is full of mysterious dear and this is one of them.

once you die, your body will return to dust and that will be your end until the time of the coming of Jesus Christ to jud ge the living and the dead you can no longer remember the things when you were still living and no retention of memories will happen. Read and understand your bvible

See, you need a church like ours. We don't have this problem because we believe that people don't float off as spirits when we die. We just die and wait for Jesus to return. It helps that we can prove this from the Bible.
