I've been a rusty fan all my life. in the late 80's, early 90's my uncle was the chief mechanic for awesome bill. i went to as many races as i could. i was only tenish, so i would run around the pits, looking at all the drivers. i'd usually always get told by some one to go away. But i remember that steele blue number two. that was the only pit box that ALWAYS let me stay there. I didnt just become a Rusty Wallace fan, he made me a fan. every week i would bring something else for him to sign, and he would. as long as i didnt get in the way, rusty had no problems with me hanging around. I will always miss rusty, for as great of a driver as he was, he still is, a better man.

I have always been as Rusty Wallace fan and miss him. Rusty is very knowledgeable about racing and will be on the ESPN and ABC broadcasts in 2007. I miss #3 and #2 and also miss Bill Elliott in the #9. They were giants in NASCAR. Rusty's 2 brothers and his son are racing in the Busch series.

Rusty Wallace was a good driver and he might possibly do something like Mark Martin or Ricky Rudd, last yera was supposed to be Mark Martin's last year, but Roush didnt have anyone to drive the #6, so they asked him and he said yes, this year the same thing, he was retiring, but if another opportunity came up he would take it, and thats what hes doing, I can understand getting old and wanting to spend tmie with family but its hard to leave the race track and not race especially if you have been doing it as long as they have, and Ricky Rudd took a one year break and now is coming back, so maybe Rusty might come back next year, and I hope he does but I really wish he still drove the #2 car cuz I HATE KURT BUSCH!!!! I cannot stand him, so yea I miss him driving the car because it would mean Kurt Busch isnt.

Rusty might particularly be doing extra helpful than extremely some the drivers on the music. yet, I admire Rusty for buying out on an identical time as he became nevertheless particularly aggressive. i in my opinion seem forward to listening to Rusty interior the sales area next season whilst ABC/ESPN starts broadcasting NASCAR races back. i think of he will let us know how he particularly feels and not act like the NASCAR puppet that extremely some the different commentators are.

I miss Rusty a lot and I agree, racing is not as interesting to me anymore since Big E and Rusty are history...
I find other things to do on Sundays (and Saturday nites), although I cannot resist the Bristol races, my fav-o-rite track of all time!

Drivers get older and slower! I miss seeing D.W. on the track, but it's better to give it up before they get ran over. Rusty was a great driver and the miller light car wont ever be the same. He is remembered as a winner not an old guy trying to stay on the lead lap.

Nascar isn't the same, period, either with or without Rusty. Personally, I'm happy he retired while still competitive. For all the Kurt Busch haters - Busch won more races in 2006 and dominated several others (Watkins Glen) while Rusty ran well in 05 he never posted a win.

I don't watch NASCAR anymore, but I do enjoy Rusty as a commentator for IRL. He does a really good job with that.

He's missed, but maybe he'll work with his son and we will have another Wallace in the Cup series soon

I didn't miss him as much as I will miss Mark Martin not running a full schedule next year.
