The life cycle of a flea is about 7 days. The eggs can lay dormant for months and will hatch in minutes when subjected to vibration.
The cat can pick them up from just about anywhere. They can breed on any other animal in the neighbour hood and hitch a ride home on your cat. They are very hard to get rid of.
First step visit the vet; get a good treatment for your cat. Second step spray the cats bed and everywhere the cat normally hangs out. Third step avoid your cat coming into contact with other animals. Don't let it roam. Step four repeat step two every six days.
It will take at least a week to get rid of the fleas if you are extremely thorough. It is more likely that your cat will have a few hidey holes that you won't think of. Keep it up for about three weeks. You will have to keep treating the cat for fleas about once every month. If your cat roams it will bring fleas home but if you keep treating you will keep them under control

I suggest going to the Vet. This looks little serious, the fleas may be hurting the poor cat, the vet would definately help
your cat and see what would be wrong with it's hair loss
check the source, IT WILL DEFINATELY HELP!

He probably has a flea bite allergy. Just because you have used flea be gone products, they may be in carpet or floor. You will need to treat not only the cat, but also the carpet, floor and overstuffed furniture.

You have to get the flea medication from the vet - the over the counter stuff doesn't work. Go get it soon...this can actually kill your animal if you let it go on long enough. Plus your cat is probably miserable!
