I'm not gonna repeat what everybody else is saying but ill mention what they havent-- the amount of water you drink you should have 8 to 10 8oz glasses of water a day and you really shouldnt drink more than that because it is possible to drink too much water and its really bad for you unless you are replenishing your enzymes and hydrating your body after sweating or something. Another way water helps you lose weight is that it fills you up (no need for nibbling limes!!)so you wont eat as much
Water: all around good stuff

Drinking water is so so so important to your body. It helps in the production of glycogen which your muscles use for energy. When you eat complex carbohydrates, you need water in order for them to get broken down and turned into glycogen. If you didn't drink enough water, the glycogen won't be made, and the carbs you ate will have gone to waste and just end up as extra calories.
Consuming nothing BUT water is not helpful. You need food - nutrients, vitamins, calories, etc to sustain life. Drinking nothing but water is unhealthy. Those who recommend drinking nothing by water and then nibbling a lime are essentially advocating starvation. You NEED food to survive.
Now I'll explain the claims that not eating will make you gain weight. Well, no, that's simply not true. If you don't eat, you're not getting calories, and your body is going to start feeding it's needs by shutting down organ systems, fats, muscle, bones, etc. You're not going to gain weight from eating nothing. HOWEVER, not eating for long periods of time can lead to permanent damage to your metabolism. That means once you go back to eating, your body is not going to be as good at using energy and breaking down food quickly as it once was, and can lead to gaining even more weight than you were before. This is also why many dieticians recommend eating 5-6 small meals a day. Eating more frequently reminds the body that it is not starving and doesn't need to store all of that food just incase the food runs out, so you can lose weight easier.
Drinking water is not going to make you gain weight. Water flushes out your system to rid your body of toxins. This is also why a lot of people will recommend people with bad acne to drink more water. Skin will be more vibrant and there will be fewer clogged pores. Drinking water can reduce bloating. When you eat salt in your food, it causes your body to retain water, resulting in you bloating and making the pants that fit last week feel a little bit tighter on your abdomen. When you drink water, you flush the system out so it stops holding on to all that water which is making you bloat, and you can be noticeably more thin.
Also, the other reason for the proliferation of people telling you to drink only water is what that will mean you aren't putting into your body, and that's empty calories from soda. Soda has no nutritional value, and some people drink up to 300 of their daily allotted calories or more on something that doesn't even make them feel full. That can lead to major weight gain in the long run.
Oh, and just as a pointer, you shouldn't just guzzle water all day. The old adage "too much of a good thing" still applies here. 80-100oz is adequate. That's five 20oz bottles (the size of an average bottle of soda), which is not so bad once you get used to it.
Ah, and an added bonus: drinking water can help curb hungry if you are getting bothered by a bunch of pesky cravings for unhealthy food.
SO, lets review :) :
Water is good. Eating is good.
And that's the whole truth.
Ba dum ch!

Only one way to lose weight: spend more calories than you take in. It's mathematical. Drinking water may assist you if, for example, you take a resolution to drink a glass of water each time you are hungry outside of meals. Water = 0 calorie, so you're not doing any harm there. You may diet without the work-out, but that may lead to loss of muscle mass and lower metabolism, which will lead to fast weight gain once you quit the diet, and that weight gain may be superior to what you lost. 95% of diets uterly fail, with weight regain within one year. The only way to success is a total change of life habits. Its even better to lose the weight that way, as it is easier on your body (skin... ect), on your mood (and on your friends ;-). There are medication to cut off hunger, but all of them have horrific side-effects, and may be life-endangering. I'm afraid hard work, and your will, are the main tools here. The most difficult time is at the first month or so. After that, it gets easy and natural. And the walk is a nice way to exercise too. Nothing more complicated than that is necessary. So if you dont like the gym, just dont go. I dont like it either, and I go running outside instead.

drinking at least 8 glasses a day can help you have a cleaner system! It helps get rid of toxic and cleanses your kidney and liver therefore its help flush the fatty acids away! It can also make you have nicer skin! having a healthy diet and also exercising is the only way to lose weight as well! It takes a little bit more then just drinking water but it helps!

"A Lot" of water? You must remember that too much water can cause you to loose nutrients/essential elements due to the "flushing" through effect. If the body don't require any more water, it will flush it through the system directly to the bladder and you will be urinating more and losing essential elements with the urine. I have it as 2 liters of water being the limit per day, obviously depending on the climate you live in, but take that as an average.
All this other diet crap people are advising, let me put it straight for you. Your body is programmed to "think" for itself, without you even knowing it. If you don't eat for a few days, your body will flag this and the minute you eat again, everything will be stored as fat because there exist this flag that the body will have to go hungry for a few days in the near future and it need to survive. The same goes for high protein or high fibre or high whatever diets. If you deprive the body of something for a while, it will gather all of this and store it somewhere in anticipation of the next shortage. This is a logical and simple to understand issue. Don't deprive your body of anything, just consume it in smaller portions.
Go to experts to get a balanced eating plan (NOT A DIET PLAN). With this you must exercise and keep up this new way of living. The minute you get inactive again, the body will gather all the food and store it for the day you start to exercise again.
Nothing like living healthy and doing your exercises.

Yes indeed. Water eliminates other fatty liquids in your body. Also, drink only water and no other drink for a whole week and you will lose up to 6 pounds. A lot of water is like turning your belly into a pool too. Drink it instead of drinking anything else. It's good for your system. Imagine us without water. We'd be diabetic.

Drinking water raises your metabolism. How this works is this;
You drink cold water (0 calories), the body has to heat that water to 98.6 degree's in order to digest/use it (the heating process expends calories). This process slightly raises your metabolism.
So yes, water will help you burn fat and help you loose weight.
Most importantly, just make sure that you burn more calories in a day than you consume.

Drinking water keeps you feeling hungry......but for many... food is a comfort.....and the doing the water thing will not solve the weight problems.................the biggest loser has been on tv for a few years....check out their web site on NBC.......
If you already have a weight problem....say over 20 lbs of your proper weight.........excerice.....new eating habit.....has never failed the person who stuck with it.........................
The average slightly overweight american (20lbs) will lose 10 to 15 pounds in 3 months by giving up drinking sodas.......don't go for power drinks if you don't work out......water, add a lime or lemon for taste
If you feel hunger all the time.....not enough excercise...working out gives you a high that reduces that urge for comfort foods
Most overweight people have one thing in common....TV....tons of food ads.....sitting to be entertained.........know a thin person....see how many hours they watch TV compared to yourself...............
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
