I'm not personally familiar with Koori languages, but I understand that they are being introduced as subjects for VCE (Victorian Year 11 and 12 study), and that elders from various cutural groups are involved in the implementation of this. I'm not sure where you'd start, but maybe contacting the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority could give you some pointers. They could probably lead you to the written materials, tapes, etc and curriculum, and possibly connect you with some of the teachers.

I'm not sure where you're writing from, but my guess is that it would not be difficult to find people from these language groups who'd be delighted to assist you in your learning.

Good luck!

If you are in Australia, many universities and CAEs offer courses in Aboriginal languages. If not, things look a lot tougher. But a bit of googling should help.

Sorry, i cannot help you, but I think it is great you want to learn their language! Their culture is very interesting too, but sadly noone in Aussie seems to care.
They have been made what they are through colonialism, and don't forget there are good and bad people in every race in the world and alot of potential lying dormant!

good luck..I will monitor your question!
