how long do i have to grow my hair to the point where i can have braids or cornrows..time in months please

My hair is 5-6 inches (afro) and my cornrow reach mid neck. I cut my hair to two inches and it took about 4 or 5 months to get this long.

not everyone's hair grows at the same rate, and it depends on also how long it is already as to how much more you need to grow it to.. i suggest calling your local beauty salon and ask them what the recommended length would be for the hairstyle you want.
