Please look at the evidence.

And I do not mean consult an evolution book - Genesis or its much older non-biblical version, the Gilamesh epic.

You have to ask your self, way back - was it God or man so bored?
You can't seriously think that 'Propet Muhammed's' answer above - to be the GUARDIANS of the EARTH - has any credibility - as we are the sole species who have been systematically destroying it for centuries, and every other species as well.

As for any notion that this great omnipresent god would be so lonely that he would need to create us to love him - well that's just the theory of folks who are lonely.

And anyone who says that he wants us to choose to worship him - is perhaps without the ability to choose much within their own life.

Colin sums it up well - Did God create man in his own image, or did Man create god in our own image?

You have to look at the Editorial staff, the church's, it another way of controlling folks, like Santa, if we are good little souls, we will get a nice reward when we die. Great, the prize is in the next life, so the church stays rich. It helps to have a good guy that you can relate to, so he is convieniantly created in your image, but to keep his kudos, he does the creation bit... Oh and there is a bad guy as well, called nick, which wears red, and will temp us with gifts... Ho Ho Ho, I guess we got it wrong about Santa

If you had never been born, that wouldnt cool now would it. He wanted to share a part of his power with us. He gaveus life. Do you want to die or wish you were dead or never born? Most sane people dont. Life......its an awsome gift from God given to man. Not only life, but freedom to do what we want to do while we are living. Yeah God does have the power to stop all harm and bad things in the world, but wouldnt we just be robots under his control then? If someone wants to kill another person, then its their choice. God doesnt like bad things to happen, but he's not going to control anyone. Freedom.....another great gift from God. Then you ask "well what about the innocent people who die?" Well God has made a way for all people to get eternal life after they leave Earth. All we have to do is obey his Word. If we obey his Word, things would be much better on Earth. Eternal Life.......the greatest gift ever offered to man.

Some say god wanted to know it's self. Its been my experience that people, places, & things are just a temperary manifestaion of the one.Like god is having a dream. Each person has the choice to wake up.The main requirement is to be true to your self. Not to have any beliefs. If you follow the herd you are going to step in alot of sh-t.If you follow the herd longer your going to be covered in sh-t and if you follow the herd longer still your going to feel like sh-t and when you ask the herd 'How come I feel like sh-t'.The herd will say 'that's the human condition'.No thats the condition of the herd.To know god is to know your real self.I better go, I see the herd coming with a stake, firewood,& matches.

The all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, PERFECT being called god by the faithful, actually suffers from the character flaw of ego.

Ironically, the flawed beings known as humans tend to create life, either to keep the species alive for another generation, or because they enjoyed sex.

God is social, he loves to interact, he did not create man to worship Him, God created man and the angels for Him to have a family, and after He destroyed sin He will continue creating more beings to fill the present empty planets of the universe. Watch 3ABN on your local CTV channel for more. God bless you!

Or did people create God? Did we create god in our own image? Some Greek said thousands of years ago that if horses had gods, their gods would look like horses.
