Hard disk not found?

Whenevri start my PC , it shws message that "hard disk not found" during boot process. I have window XP but not able to start it. Please help me !!!!!!!!!!!

is it plugged into the correct slot 2. what do you have booting the computer the cd or the hard drive?

make sure you do not have a floppy disk in the A drive if it is not bootable you will get a boot file not found message.
