is it ok to give a girl who is a simi-freind a freindly pat on the back for something example: she does a good job on her 1/2 of project that we work on for school, gj in sports, ect. or in girl language does that mean something besides good job

hah..well i think that as long as it isn't too touchy then it shouldn't mean anything more than what your intending on it to be....but if you are too touchy with it and do it often, she proably is gonna start thinking you mean more of it than just a "good job"...

In mainstream american culture i'd say it depends...how's that for a cop-out...if a good friend than no, if a non-friend then yes, but a semi-friend? You've hit the mean...i cannot compute. Maybe I'm a noob with girls. Let them answer :)

Well it depends on that girl. Some girls wouldn't mind it even if you put your arm across their shoulder. And since you dont know her that well, you can't really place what she prefers and what she doesn't. A good way to get around this is by observing how she lets the guys around her deal with her and then follow the lead..

I suppose if you think of her as a puppy - then yes pat her on the back. Better..... you just say well done and thats it. Means much more - believe me. I hate being patted like a dog.

I'd take it as only friendly, but that's because most of my friends are guys.
I'm like that girl on "My Boys". hahaha.
Anyway, some girls freak out when I guy even looks at their side of the cafeteria. Be careful, it all depends on the girl.
But, honestly there's nothing sexual about that. Patting on the back doesn't scream, "I WANT IN YOUR PANTS!" to me, but hey that's only me. hahahha. ( :

depends how old you are and whether she likes you or not. if she likes you then she might make it up in her mind as more but if not then no its just a pat on the back

Yes it is ok. But if she wants something to be there between you she will read into it. especially if she is a teen to early 20's Girls are crazy like that.

Generally sure. Just not too low on the back or you might get smacked. Also, to be on the safe side, I wouldn't touch anyone at your workplace.
