i always use hair food to slick it back.
when i dont use anything it's smooth and silky but looks weird on me.
should i use moose or gel? what kind of brand should i use?
any tips?

Diffently use gel, it keeps it slicked back as long as u need it.
U can buy any type even the dollar stuff works great. If u are having a really bad time of it, try a putty, it comes in a jar and
works really well, also Vo5 in a tube works great they use to use this way back in the 50's when they wanted the slicked backed hair styles for guys. Good luck!

Personally, I use VO-5 hair cream mixed with water. But if you have porcupine type hair, you might need some super hold gel.

PPS hair wax

moose becomes to greasy looking and stiff
gel flakes away making it look like the person has dandruff

but whatever you feel works for you
