Hi there...even though your kitty has been neutered...he's trying to exhibit dominance behaviour over inmaterial items which are his. This is commonly seen among cats as well as inanimate objects as well.

my kitty does this too! he only started to do this a few years ago (he's 13). i got him a stuffed animal (kitty) for him to hump. :)
he's neutered, but it's an instinct. don't worry- get him something to take out his sexual frustration on so he won't steal your slippers or yarn!

He is probably bored and the motions of mouting gives him something interesting to do. It causes no harm, so why worry?

All of his instincts didn't get snipped. Sexuality is a brain thing as well as hormonal.

What he's doing is harmless. I wouldn't worry about it.
