Isn’t it really just a different interpretation of the same God?

If someone believed that they are two different gods, yes it would indeed make them a polytheist

If someone believed that one exsisted and the other one did not (that the other belief system was a lie) then no, they would still be a monotheist

......AND If someone believed that Allah and Jehovah were simply different names for the SAME God...then what do you call that person? A multi-theist? An openminded monotheist?...or simply enlightened? I dont know...lol

No.

A polytheist actually WORSHIPS multiple gods. True Christians recognize that Jehovah (the Father) requires exclusive devotion, and so they direct ALL of their worship in line with that Almighty God's will.

(Exodus 20:5) I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion

Because their worship is limited to the one Supreme Deity, true Christians are not polytheists. However, true Christians do acknowledge the existence of gods lesser than Almighty Jehovah. For example, the bible teaches that Satan is a god, and of course Jesus is a god.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) The god of this system of things [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through

(John 1:18) No man has seen God at any time; [Jesus] the only-begotten god who is in the bosom position with the Father is the one that has explained him. (See also John 1:1)

(1 Corinthians 8:5,6) Even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father

Incidentally, "Allah" does not exist as an independent deity; "Allah" is a proxy for Satan.

The Jehovah Witness based the name of their God from what they claim to have have been said more than 7000 times in the Old and the New Testaments.
Jews and Christians are not really sure because they came up with so many names such as EL, El Shaddai, Ya, Yahweh, Adonai, Elohim, I AM and in the Kabalah, there are 72 names accorded to the Lord.
That is not polytheism because those are different names given to One God since up to the present time no one really knows the the real name of God, he preferred to be called.
Allah is just another name given by the Islamic religion.
There is One site however that claims The name of God was given to them in this year.....wwwthename.ph

Well those who think that Allah is a different God from Jehovah are actually IGNORANTS. Muslims, Christians and Jews worship the SAME God, the Biblical one. The only difference is that only Christians believe that Jesus was God's Son.

allah and jehovah are the same God with different names. the koran is closely similar to the christians old testament. i haven't heard any professor who prove they are one of the same though but i believe they are written in the same period and of the same people. if you interpret it "literally", christians are polytheists. we have God the Son, God The Father and God the Holy spirit, (though it is justified by the church as the Holy Trinity.)

if we trace back our history, the muslims are just following the christians footsteps. (no harm intended to muslims) their jihad is equivalent to the christians crusades led by the knights templar. [payback time! :-) ] the similarity between the two religions are obvious.

No.
There's only ONE God.
Someone's wrong, then.
We don't have the same God.
Different name, different origin, different way of salvation, different agenda = not the same.
