well i've been really nice to this girl i really like but apparently shes still not interested. i've told her i like her and i asked her out but shes never answered me that question, so, i really dont kno what do it. she kinda made it obvious she doesnt like me. i walk down the hall and see all the jerks get the girls. and nice guys like me rarely gets any, but i always hear stuff like how girls like nice guys, i dont think so.

hey, maybe youre just to much in a hurry..trust me, you may see jerks get the hottie girls but they dont stay for a long time. in the end, all the nice guys get the girls. ;)

You will find that a lot of women will respond by saying they like nice guys etc. And you will know that in reality nice guys rarely get the girl. Wonder why? Read on...
It is believed that being polite, considerate, friendly, tender, romantic, etc. is what being a "nice guy" is all about and thus those qualities should be avoided, as it is the "jerk", the rude, the inconsiderate, the impolite, the rough guy who always gets the girl while the "nice guy" is waiting outside in the pouring rain with flowers in his hand.
It doesn't mean that women prefer rude over polite, inconsiderate over considerate, etc. It all becomes clear when we look at a very important issue often overlooked when trying to define what makes the "jerks" beat the "nice guys" when it comes to getting the girls. It is sexuality - the "jerks" are not afraid to show that they are sexual beings, while the "nice guys" hide their sexuality as a part of their agenda of being friendly, polite, and courteous towards women.
So there u have it, dont be nice in a weak way, be an assertive, self assured, sexual 'jerk'

Dude, seriously... Women do not like nice guys. They would like to want the nice guy... but they don't.
What they want is that Jerk that treats them like crap and exploits their insecuritys, this way they can hope to change him.
By some how changing that guy into a nice guy, they some how feel better about all ther insecuritys because they believe they have changed a guys life.
They over look the fact that Guys rarely change. They can, but it is rare.
I'm really really sorry to say this dude, but you wont be able to get a girl that is worth your time for a while. You want a girl that has some self respect and honestly, not many do.
I don't want to sound sexist, but thats the ugly truth.
Hang in there and when a woman finds that you are a great guy, all the waiting will have been worth it.

Most girls like nice guys, not all. You see, some woman are use to being treated badly so they go with what is comfortable to them. Also, most woman under the age of 25 are still trying to figure out who they really are, so they put their identity on what TV has portrayed as a bad boy image. They will take the "abuse" from a mean guy because it is what TV tells them is cool and accepting. Give it time my man and you will find a woman you likes you in return, for who you are. When a guy goes out of his way to be "nice" to a girl, he is unconsciously telling her that he is not good enough for her, and girls can pick up on subtle body language like that. That's what makes "jerks" attractive, they exude a sense of being good enough for anyone, or even being better. Girls want something strong in that way. Too bad so many of them really are jerks. Just work on being the best you that you can be, be true to yourself, and when you've got that down, the girls will notice you and your inner strength.

Sorry to say this but it depends upon the maturity level of the girl in question. Immature and inexperienced girls tend to go for jerks cuz its more exciting. Its the thrill of catching herpes I guess that enthralls them:) cuz you and I know that these guys are out getting play where ever they can.When girls have had more experience with the gentlemen folk they tend to learn better how not to get burned and who to go for.The nice guy wins in the end. The nice guy will be married and the jerk will still be messing around with 90 some chicks taking his valtrax prescription lonely every night.

Your partly right. A lot of girls and women go for the jerks. There could be one of two reasons why this girls isn't attracted to you. One, she is a jerk chaser, or two, she does want a nice guy, just not you, in particular. If someone isn't attracted to you there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes there's no simple explanation. I suggest you ask out other girls and try not to dwell too much on just one.

nowadays there are not many girls which is nice..girls that dont like a nice guys because maybe they have short term agenda..i mean maybe they want to be popular when they have the jerks beside them..my advise is you should leave that girls..that girls just waste your time..just concentrate at your studies..believe me at the end of the day you will get your true lover..

"Liking somebody" has a whole lot of factors to it such as compatibility (shared interests), chemical attraction (we're sort of like the ants in this way), and visual attraction. I would suggest that you be "really nice" to all people, regardless of whether there is something in it for you or not... that's called "integrity" and it will serve you repeatedly as you mature and meet many suitable life partners.

They sure do, but they want more to the package than just nice.
They want looks: nice hair, nice face, nice body.
They want an adequate tool and an experienced and skilled toolman.
They want a guy that makes them feel physically and financially safe.
They want a guy who has friends (that meet the above requirements).
