Evolutionists do indeed believe that something came from nothing. They believe in the big bang(that's called cosmic evolution). The big bang is the start of the universe(the 4 dimensions....3 dimensions of space and 1 dimension of time and that includes all matter and energy). What was there before the big bang......nothing. From nothing came the whole universe.
Christians don't rationalize that God came from nothing. God is eternal. He has always been there. He never had a beginning. The difference between God and the universe is that God never had a beginning. The universe did.....it's called the big bang. The law of cause and effect says that all things that had a beginning need a cause. Therefore, the universe needs a cause but God doesn't.

Evolutionists are concerned with tangible things - matter. What makes matter? This is the question. If matter is not created by God as the evolutionists claim then matter must be created out of nothing. The Christians' position is that out of the spiritual the material things in this world are created. There is a spiritual realm which is a mystery to natural beings like humans unless humans can receive a revelation of the mystery from God. The human flesh counts for nothing it is the spirit that gives life and understanding.

God always was so he did not have to come from nothing. He was just there in the beginning. He would be here whether anything else was or not. This is what God is a Powerful Forever Being. A Lover Of Truth. Able to feel emotions. An immortal.Supernatural In control of everything. At the same time God is good enough to put up with human beings.

This is an easy one. With us here on earth, everything has a beginning and an end so its hard (without faith) to understand the concept of no time. God created time, he is the beggining and the end. If you still dont understand think about it this way...... We had to come from somewhere, and it it just makes so much more sense that there is a God because if we come from rocks and micro organisms and apes, then where did they come from?

Regardless of whether your a Christian or Evolutionist, we all agree that something has always existed. Christians believe it was God, Evolutionist believe in the Big Bang, or someother scientific hypothesis. THIS IS A POINTLESS ARGUMENT!!!

I think Christians believe the same thing---there was always something and that was God. The earth may be finite, but God is not. It's a bigger concept than evolution on this very small and insignificant planet.
"In the beginning, there was God."

I've seen a few answers...none particularly intelligent or logical.

The first, and my personal favorite: "I don't understand how it works, so it can't be true..." or variations of this theme.

Second, people who are so heavily indoctrinated from birth cannot seem to break away from the "faith", as its all they really know, and aren't encouraged to find out more.

Third: Ego, plain and simple. They can't or won't accept that in all actuality, our place in the universe is actually quite insubstantial. They can't believe that when we die, that's the end of the game. They won't accept that animals (while not as intelligent) play an important part in the natural order of things, and that its not insulting to accept that humans are just an animal on a higher order.

This in no way reflects on all creationists, but it does cover a nice chunk of them.

Let's take the concept of Time. At a certain point, time had to begin, right? Well someone or something had to design and create time. So, I believe that God created time and before time existed, God would have existed.

You have to think outside of the box on this one, but when you think of time not existing, it's very possible to consider that God has always existed. That's why he's called the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

You might want to read your question again.Evolutionist have to start with something in order for something to evolve, thus proving their own theory wrong.I don't care if it is in a different form it's still there.
