Yeah it could have been aliens, but I think it was invisible halfbreed gremlin/elves who live inside trees. They have really good technology so they can tinker with genetics. I mean... really.. my story gives answers to all the relevant questions that need answers! Nobody can prove it wrong, either, isn't that neat?
