Alex is correct. However, please bear in mind that many tax reliefs which expired earlier in the year were re-enacted very late and the forms will not, for the most part be reprinted. If you are in the habit of preparing your taxes yourself, consider doing them online via irs.gov. Click on the FreeFile icon. You might not get it free - it will depend on your circumstances - but I think it will be much better this year than doing a paper return. The online service is not available until January 12th.

I do my own return online every year. It has always cost me less than $20 to file federal, state and get direct deposit straight to my checking account. I get my refund less than 2 weeks after filing. The whole process has become much more streamlined in the last couple of years.
