I do believe in life after death. I believe in God the Father, his Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. With all my heart I believe in his Word. I believe in heaven and hell.
My faith is strong and I never trouble my spirit by watching wierd horror movies and the like. I have peace and sleep just fine. Before I go to sleep at night, I repent of any sins or whatever I may have done to grieve the Holy Spirit. I know with everthing in me, that there is life after death.

Sorry this might not answer your question, but i have a secret to tell you. First remember this. 'Lief ' from belief is the Anglo-Saxon root for "wish" Belief has been euphemised to mean "a firm opinion" or an "acceptance" as said in the dictionary. Unfortunately the word belief or believe is misused and misunderstood by most people who use it.

People say I believe in this or I believe in that. Belief or believe are words that is used by a lot of people to manipulate and control the root of thought process of where the conversation is going. Believing in God, is limiting your access to God. It is 'wishful thinking." You are in doubt. You are actually wishing for God. That shows a lack of faith. Belief separates you from God. Having faith and letting go of belief and/or wishful thinking is trusting yourself to God. Therefore grace abounds.

Pay attention to how you and/or other people use that word. That way you'll be able to discern the "intent" behind it. I still use it. But I only use it knowing that it is possible to go beyond belief and not to manipulate or influence others. Knowing and believing in God is not enough. Experiencing God is where its at. This in itself will make it easier in your approach to understand life and death and beyond. Be discernful on your inner most intentions. Watch what you wish for. Beware of virtue. Take care and God bless.

To a Buddhist there is the Cycle of Life, which in a sense is similar to Life after Death.

Buddhists see all natural phenomena operating in cycles, eg weather cycles, water cycle, cycle of the seasons, cycles of the human body such as breathing and heartbeat, and The Cycle of Life is seen as no different. The cycle is seen as an endless series of phenomena.....

Starting at Rebirth (as a consequence of our previous Life choice, Actions due to choices and consequences of those choices)....going through the phenomenon of Life.....eventually leading to Death.....following this event, the 'soul' (Buddhists consider that human Life consists of 5 aggregates or Parts which are dissolved on Death and reformed in different measure due to Karmic consequence to make a new Life)...after the new Life is constructed....Rebirth.

To escape the cycle, Buddhists see Life experience as the means to improve or make themselves better human Beings attaining enlightenment or in simpler terms an enlightened state of Being (No Karmic consequences left to resolve). The term Being in this case means Life Form.

So in a way Buddhists believe in Life after Death but it could be human Life, Rebirth to a Lower Realm including Animal Life or 'promotion' if you will or rather evolving to a higher Realm Life. The Higher Realms to Buddhists would be similar to Heaven which Christians and other Faiths aspire to...I hope I have that concept correct I'm not too familiar with that forgive me if I offend you...I don't mean to. ...

Thanks you for allowing me to contribute....

I hope I haven't infered any offence...forgive me...I only intended a discourse not a Truth or argument against other Faiths and beliefs, which to me are just as valid and worthy of discussion and praise.

Peace my friend from a Buddhist in the season of Joy...

I do!

But not because of my religious beliefs. I've had an out of the body experience and it is this particular experience which "confirmed" my belief in the afterlife.

Irrespective of one's religious disposition, life after death is an irrefutable fact. But this 'fact' was unknown to me until I underwent the aforesaid experience a few years back.

I don't believe in something as illogical as life AFTER death. Only death after life.

I believe in the following order, death, judgement of the soul, if you pass the judgement, the purifying process in purgatory, and then after the soul is pure, it is allowed to enter heaven.

I believe that energy is conserved... so yes Ur spiritual energy thrives on... I do not believe u are reborn as u are now... I do not believe heaven is its own dimension. I believe when u die ur energy is divided... and sometimes that energy combines in a similar order... so it is a partial reincarnation... hmm Its much more complicated but I'm not interested in typing it all out.
