Why or why not? I have very strong convictions and feelings about things of which the scriptures speak. Yet I do not think politics is our answer, never did, though it is a temptation to think it is very crucial. Judging by my own feelings, I would guess that most Christians care about society and feel like it is going down, they are losing their place in it(displaced), and yet we know that Christian morality cannot be legislated by outward law, it is the inner law, implanted in us by the Spirit of God, changing our old hearts(nature), by being born again. (Scripture reference Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:24-29, and 2 Corinthians 3:1-3, and John 3:3-8 )
Are Christians in politics just trying to save an image of America that is not true anymore so that they feel comfortable and never have to come to terms with their great failure to win hearts and minds for the our Jesus?

Let me make something very clear. Christianity is a very unique and truly spiritual religion, that is the only reason why this is a question. The whole world is about power and various groups coming to power and making laws to their sense of justice. Christianity in its true form is not concerned with this world, land, or politics.
It is a kingdom unto itslef in the spirit. Maybe many don't understand that. Christians who get invloved inpolitics are not doing anything more or less evil than all groups, but are ignoring their special calling to not be of this world, to be pilgrims looking for a just city which will be made to happen through Gods intervention. This is not true of other peoples. Others seek their world here and now .Aristotle defined man as a political animal, it is only natural for us as humans to feel inclined to it, abd bite of that fruit, but Christians have a special calling on them which we have to consider.Dont blame us for being human

religion and politics should mix! unless it is Chrisitanity, get it straight!
If Islam is true and they believe it to be true as much as you self righteous secualrist think your ideas about politics are true, then they should fight you unto the death! That is the way it should be! Unless it is Christianity! The logic is undeniable.
The factor that separates Christinaity from you two, is that though Christians also believe they have truth, just like Muslims(for example) and you secularists(for example) they are specifically given orders by the founder of the teaching they profess, to not fight for it. This in part is also responsible for modern secularist ideas of peace, which were birthed in a Christian political culture.(As oppossed to pure Christianity as religious truth not politics). So please correct yourselves through education and learn of what you speak, don't just repeat ignorant rants and hate speech

As Christians we are called to walk this life on earth to be like Jesus whether as politicians or in any other endeavour. The sad thing is that most Christians are not able to reflect the wisdom, power and character of Christ in and through their lives to touch and minister to others. Most Christians are living a life of hollow Christianity with no substance of Christ in their lives. That is why Christians cannot turn the world right side up and make no diffirence to the world. It not by our own might nor by our own power but by the Spirit.

I often wonder the same thing, I still vote for who I think holds my morals and ethics but that is a great disappointment as of late. I think the best we can do is teach our kids about Jesus and what was done for us and set an example.

I do not like Christianity's play in politics. It makes the ones who aren't trying to inforce rules upon everyone look like loonies.
