How could there possible be so many different kinds of people on the planet if we all started out with adam and eve. It's not like I don't believe it, it just doesn't make sense.

God made Adam and Eve he could have made other people. Even all the different races could have come from Adam and Eve. It could have happened when God changed the languages so everyone spoke differently. Read and you will find it. It does not make sense that a tree sheds its leaves in the wintertime only to put them back on next spring. Except that it needs rest. How many different trees do we have? Flowers? Plants? Animals?

It actually says that G-d created man, as in mankind. Much like in the OT, we are only told about the Jews and surrounding cultures, we are only told about G-d's relationship with Adam and Eve. It does not say they were the only ones.

Also, a tribe from Istrael has been living in India 2700 years. They now look indian, and have only bred with each other. Perhaps the environment has more to do with physical appearance than we think.

Most importantly, I remind you we will never understand G-d fully. I don't want a G-d that can be understood by a human...not much of a G-d, right? Don;t deny Him for the unexplained, accept Him for His love for you. Do you feel love pouring out of the people telling you to reject Him?? Right.

According to the Bible, all people today descended from the survivors of a great Flood - Noah's family, who in turn descentded from Adam and Eve (Gen 1:11). There are many stories, from many parts of the world, of a great Flood that only several people survived to repopulate the earth.
But today we have many different groups, often called "races" with what seem to be greatly differing features. The most obvious of these is skin color. Some see this as a reason to doubt the Bible's record of history. They believe that the various groups could have arisen only by evolving separately over tens of thousands of years. However, this does not follow from the evidence.
The Bible tells us how the population that descended from Noah's family had one language and were living together and disobeying God's command to "fill the earth" (Gen 9:1, 11:4). God confused their language, causing a break-up of the population into smaller groups, which scattered over the earth (Gen. 11:8-9). Modern genetics shows how, following such a break-up of a population, variations in skin color, for example, can develop in only a few generations. And there is good evidence to show that the various groups of people we have today have NOT been separated for huge periods of time.
One could say there is really only one race - the human race. The Bible teaches us that God has "made from one blood all nations of men" (Acts 17:26. Scripture distinguishes people by tribal or national groupings, not by skin color or physical features. Clearly, though, there are groups of people who have certain features (e.g.skin color) in common, which distinguish them from other groups. We prefer to call these "people groups" rather than "races," to avoid the evolutionary and racist connotations that have become associated with the word "race."
All peoples can intermarry and produce fertile offspring. This shows that the biological differences between the "races" are not great. In fact, the DNA differences are trivial. The DNA of any two people in the world would typically differ by just 0.2%. Of this, only 6% can be linked to racial categories; the rest is "withinrace" variation.
This genetic unity means, for instance, that white Americans, although ostensibly far removed from black Americans in phenotype, can sometimes be better tissue matches for them than other black Americans.

what is with these non-believers? What do they know?

This is how I think it happens, the different apperances of humankind is a result from his enviroment, the blacks need the dark skin or else they would suffer from prolonged exposure in the heat causing much pain and suffering. If a man has black skin he can stay in the sun and heat longer while a white man can stay in the cold longer and have less sunlight. You can see small temporary examples of this when you get a tan. so when Adam and Eve's descendents went around the world, they just adapted to there enviroment

"It's not like I don't believe it, it just doesn't make sense."

that is the root of faith. you believe something you're told, blindly. then you go about trying to prove that it is true because you already believe it is, blindly... or without proof. if you cannot reconcile the errors of this belief (such as you are having trouble in the story of adam and eve) you first throw out the question, and keep the belief! this is what makes faith so dangerous, and why thousands of people have committed murder and suicide in the name of their individual faiths. radical islamic extremists are faithful. jim jones and his followers had faith. faith=dangerous.

EDIT:
some responses i read after posting lead me to want to add something. you CANNOT prove something by saying it is POSSIBLE, because that only means that we can IMAGINE it could happen, although we have no proof to say it was probably the case. it is POSSIBLE for the sun to rise in the west and set in the east because we can imagine it happening, however it is not PROBABLE, and in fact we have all of our collective experiences to point to the ultimate PROBABILITY that it will rise in the east tomorrow as it always has. now the same CANNOT be said of this quandry with adam and eve. none of us were there, none of us know, so POSSIBILITY is not enough to establish PROBABILITY. also, to the person who said that adam and eve were not the only people created by god you are suggesting that their sins do not touch all men in creation, only the descendants of adam and eve. gives us a loop hole around the "all men fall short of the glory of god" mentality. i can just claim that i am from a different breed of man than adam and eve... keep your jesus, i no longer need him, for i am found blameless before god!

I'm not a creationist, but your specific argument "Adam and Eve couldn't lead to diversity" is invalid.

A couple of beings could produce a group of incestuous people that then splits up into several groups that move to different environments and adapt to become different races.

Adam and Eve is a story about the beginning of people and how we lost our innocence. It helps Jews to trace their ancestors to The Beginning. Its not meant to be a study of genetics that were not known when the book was written.

If you study genetics, it does make sense.

All God would have to do is create both Adam and Eve heterozygous for all their traits, and a very diverse combination of possibilities would result.

Or, God could reach out with His mighty and and alter any genes at any time, if it pleased Him.

Well over thousands of years, changes occured. Not only that, but God forced ppl to inhabit all the earth. He even forced them to know different languages to accomplish it. So, being in different parts of the world, everyone experienced different climates. Those in the really hot areas, where there is lots of sun, developed darker skin. Those in the cooler, not as sunny areas developed lighter skin. Then it is micro-evolution at work.
