No, I don't know the actual statistics, but I do know the history of my best friend, who died December 2nd this year from AIDS. She was originally diagnosed with HIV 13 years ago, when she was 17, because she had unprotected sex ONCE with someone who was diagnosed HIV. Her life was extremely difficult with people treating her like a walking disease and ostricizing her, humiliating, ridiculing, and her death was long, drawn out and painful, ending with a diagnosis of viral pneumonia, and finally complete failure of her lungs.
The odds don't roll in your favor when it comes to HIV and AIDS. It's not a game you want to gamble on.

It is clear from the total lack of agreement in all the previous answers that most people in this questions catagory do not know the answer to your question. I don't. I suggest you try asking it in a section of Yahoo Answers that has to do with MEDICAL things. I bet you could get more accurate information there. Or better still try calling some AIDS clinic or other medical facility that deals with this.
Good luck.

Aren't you using condoms ? If not, why not ? AIDS is now classifed as a 'chronic' illness. That means that you will have to take a cocktail of drugs the rest of your life. Your body may just react badly to any one of them causing liver failure or much worse. It sounds to me like you are having casual sex. you don't even know for sure if your partner is HIV positive or not ! DON'T DELAY- GET TESTED TODAY ! BOTH OF YOU.

You should never assume that you are safe and the transmission rate doesn't really matter. If you have had unprotected sex then you should be tested for your own piece of mind, your own safety and the safety of future partners. Not judging you at all, everyone makes mistakes but you really should protect yourself.

Any unprotected sex with a HIV positive persons bodily fluids has a extremely high possibility of transmission of the virus to another person.

Assume the worst. It's your life you are gambling with.
If it were me, I would avoid sex altogether with an HIV infected person, & damn the statistics.

all i know is that you're at a high risk. next time use a condom or just don't have sex! if you wanna continue having sex with him first find out if he has HIV and if he does then you should see if you have it too. i'm not judging its just HIV is spread through semen and if you're partner has HIV then you should at least use a condom during sex. but you're running a high risk everytime you have sex with him

Who needs statistics. You are rolling the dice and the odds are not in your favor. Why you want to get AIDS from unprotected sex I do not know but you are just asking for it, and you will probably get it too. Rest In Peace, in advance
