lied to this girl tonight. I look at her straight in the eyes and lied to her right in her face. I couldn't tell her the truth. Here's my story.
I work at a grocery store. I'm a stocker. The girl i'm talking about is a cashier. Anyways I had the day off and she didn't. I went grocery shopping. I seen her I said hey to her. She said hey back. Than the manager asked me if I could work tonight. I said no at first, but when I got home I thought about it. And decided to work. So I called the manager told him i'm coming in.
Anyways she asked me "what change my mind about coming in"? I told her "I needed the money". But the truth is I enjoy her company. And have a little crush on her.
First time I lied to a girl. I'm usually an honest sweet guy to girls.
So my question is if I told her the truth do you think she will get mad because I lied to her.
I think she likes me, but at times its hard to say.
But the thing is she has a boyfriend

Well.....If u said, " I decided to come to work to see you baby", she would probably think u were a creep! So by u saying that u needed the $ was good because then your playing hard to get....which ALL chicks dig!!! See she was EXPECTING you to say you came into work to see her or to be with her...BUT by NOT telling her what she wants to hear makes her wonder,
"Why is he not attracted to me or all over me yet?" Which then makes her want you to want her more.
are you feeling me on this one ? As for her having a boyfriend, ....Just keep playing "hard to get" and she'll be done with him and with you very soon!

The story was sweet until you said she has a boyfriend.You dont wanna be a home wrecker now.If you like her sometimes things are better of not said.Due to the fact she has a boyfriend she probally has enough history with, she's not going to leave him.BUT the truth is that if you like someone..the other person will usually get the vibe that you do or assume you do.Get to know her, ask her how her and her boyfriend are doing..if she seems content with him...let it go.If not make your move! The worst you can get is a NO and you can still remain friends anyways :) Good luck and Happy New Years.

I don't think that is the kind of lie that you need to worry about... plus, if she likes you or knows you like her I am sure that she already knew what changed you mind and was probably fishing when she asked you.
I would wait and feel out the situation before I confessed to your real motives if I were you. You don't want to end up making an uncomfortable work situation for yourself.

lol, thats such a cute story. But I hardly think with a boyfriend, a girl could give a flying **** about outright black or white lies given by another co worker. If you want to test the strength of her relationship with her bf and where they stand, and if you feel guilty enough then ADMIT you have a COLOSSAL crush on her by handing her one white or pink tulip (they must stock em in your floral dept, grocery store AND NO RED ROSES-THEY'RE OVERRATED) and simply say looking in her eyes, 'Sorry, but I do.' and walk away. (LOL awww there's something about a guy who walks away after admitting THAT!) Good Luck.

If I was her, and you told me the truth, I wouldn't care. I'd think it's sweet that you would be embarrased to spend time with me. If she has a boyfriend, don't make a move, but still tell her the truth.

so sorry but if she has a boyfriend yo should just keep the white lie to yourself and move on with your life.
If she does not have a boyfriend, I would ask her to coffee some afternoon soon and tell her the real reason you agreed to go to work, so you could be with her. See how she reacts and good luck

I don't think she will care. I think you are making it way more complicated than it is. If thats the biggest lie you've told then you should get a trophy. Tell the girl how you feel, take her to a nice dinner or movie or something.....

This really sounds like a high school question....write her a note like:
I like you, do you like me?
circle yes or no
and have another stocker give it to her...geeze! You don't have to worry if she will be mad or not.

Maybe she won`t get mad for you lying to her, but she probably won`t believe the new explanation.
Then again if she is already in a relationship, my advice to you is not to interfere.
