The human body has no use for an appendix these days. Other herbivious have an appendix that helps digest cellulose. We no longer eat food that contains cellulose as we now cook our food or eat easily digestable fruits and vegetables.
If God made the human body, why would he include a useless organ? I thought God is omnipotent and infallible? Did he make a mistake? Or is it just easier to believe that the Appendix is an organ left over from our ancestors who ate leaves etc.?

Actually, until the age of five, humans still DO use their appendix. Not exactly useless;small children get quite ill without it or if something happens to it.

Here's how I explain it:

First, just because humans don't know what the use of something is, does not mean that there is no use for it. God knew what he was doing.

Second, even the medical field is starting to recognize that the appendix does, in fact, have a use. It is part of the immune system. Google "appendix immune" or check my source below.

So, to answer the question, I don't think God included a useless organ. I think it took us that long to figure it out.

Very good question. The human body was created to eat plant food. Adam was commanded to cultivate the garden and that all the trees of the garden (except 1) could serve as food for him. It wasn't until later on that meat was allowed to be introduced into man's diet, and with meat --- cooking. I don't know if Adam cooked his veggies or not, but originally he was not intended to eat meat. Humans, or any animals for that matter, do not need to evolve to adjust, they easily adapt to changing circumstances --- it doesn't change their species. If humans used the appendix long ago, and no longer do --- they are still human.

I know and EVOLUTION for some strange reason, hasn't phased it out.

Guess God wants it. God has a plan for it. Maybe to give you a pain in your belly. Maybe to see how you'll handle a $10,000 surgery bill after you just bought ticktes for a Cancun vaction.

God likes doing things like that.

You were put here to suffer. That's what you get for failure to obey!

And your kids and your kids kids and their kids all face the same things.

I mean, if you had eaten from the TREE OF LIFE instead, the ruptured appdenix wouldn't kill you. You can't kill an eternal.

There were a whole bunch of "vestigial" organs that science told us we had no use for. Tonsils, come to mind. It was later found out that they contribute to the immune system. It's just another case of scientists being too proud to say that they don't know.

I have had many an argument over this with creationists. They say that it was only after the great flood (Noah and the ark) that we were allowed to eat meat by god. They say that before that we were herbavours ourselves. I see that you can see as many holes in this argument as I can. Hope this helps.

God gave you an appendix because it very well pleased Him!
He doesn't have to justify it to anyone.

Rom 9:20
"On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, 'Why did you make me like this,' will it?"

You are just clay; Clay does not get to ask questions, nor is it entitled to answers.

We are currently evolving. It would take a time lapse photo to be taken once every 500,00, years to see this change take place.
