A friend used to have some, he called then dinosaur chickens but I think they are an actual breed. They look like small dinosaurs!

You might be thinking about Cornish or cornish game because they have really long legs...or maybe Green or Forked-Tail Jungle Fowl...they are a type of chicken with long legs and dino characteristics...There is a very good chance you are talking about langshans too.
It MIGHT be an araucauna because it has a weird head that makes the rest of the body look like a dinosaur but i kind of doubt this breed is the one ur thinking of.

Im also thinking of another breed that looks a but like these two but the feathers on the head stick up, they also have bugy eyes. Dont remember the name

the only chicken that i can think of with really long legs are the fighting chickens

are you sure they are chickens...dark cornish or minorcas have long legs and look like dinosaurs
