Is Life all about economic status, Power, show off? Ultimately is God Partial?

I just could not understand the life, because I am working as a lecturer in a technical college, for the past 5 years, but my friends and relatives are into software/ Manufacturing Industry. I choose teaching because i got greats passion for teaching, communicating the ideas and so on and so many, but my salary is far low compared to my friends who are earning great money, also settling in abroad. Everyone around me, the family & friends and the soceity view me as a kind mad, lame person, because i am sticking to this teaching job. Even the Girls like to marry a person who has lot of money and wealth and not the character. Please someone out there help in finding the right answer

i think it basically depends on u .its ur happiness that counts and not what other people do or say.wealth is only a material possesion but character is sumthing that is in u and can never be lost.as long as u have enogh money to lead a decent life i dont think u shud bother abt other people......u shud just go ahead and do what u love

Our values have put far too great an emphasis on success and progress to the point of ignoring the reasons for success and scientific development . After so much has been accomplished with inevitable future progress we need to step back and look at the big picture from an humanitarian point of view . Are character and values are truly facing a challenge to slow down progress and weed out the corruption of our already attained good developments so society can truly profit entirely for all and not the few . We have the capabilities to end poverty & hunger as well as continuing the battle against disease and malady.
However much of our good will and ethical values are turned upside down by the push for too much too fast. So forget of gods help fornow whether you believe or not the jobs at hand are tasks for men.

god is only used to fool other fools into believing in your cause. when people quote god in a sentence "I thank god..." it is the signal to fools that they can trust this guy. george bush for example. he cant be trusted with anything, but drops god in it all the time.
the church is wealth based, even though people starve. do they share the money with the less fortunate... no, because the less fortunate are not likely to be able to tithe any amount worthwhile to cover the initial outlay. who wants to save africa and gain a million more converts, when they cant support the growth of the bank account.

its right there people. open your eyes. the churches ask people to spend a $ a day, when they make millions a week.

I cannot see how fools cant see this and support them. oh right, they are fools.
