Sometimes they will take it but then again when they dont' want to play with him they will claw them and it seems to hurt him alot. I feel really bad when he gets hurt cause he comes back whining to me and i can't be mad at my cats cuase he starts it first.. Also my dog and cats sleep together and eat... They are pals...

watch him and see the behavior that occurs before the bites occur. and stop the dog before he gets to that point and correct him each and every time he does this. he will learn to leave the cats alone as far as biting them. also for his safety keep you cats claws trimmed so they are not so sharp. when he does come to you whining don't pick him up or give him attention unless he is actually injured. this will teach him that you do not condone his behavior. is he a puppy?

Keep the cat's claws trimmed, and let them work it out. The dog will learn to respect the cat, believe me. I just added a little Chihuahua Terrier puppy to my household. We already had a cat that is 11. They have had to work out an "understanding" and now they actually love and respect each other.
Could be a marriage made in heaven, heh heh.

If they sleep and eat together, he is probably just trying to play. If there is no blood then he is okay. Pinschers are tough dogs. ;)

my minpin plays pretty rough with our 2 males cats, they chase and roll and tumble and tackle each other but when the dog gets too rough or they are through playing they will strike at the dog

teaches your dog not to be a jerk and not act like a little baby. he needs to realize that it will happen to him. serves him right
