My two shoulder blades are sticking out really bad, it is very visible. I do not think it is Scoliosis because my spine looks straight.

I don't know if these symptoms are related but, I also have some slight but annoying pain in my chest. It's not really pain, but I can feel that something is wrong.

I am going to see a bone doctor tomorrow, I'm not sure what kind he is yet. But I want to anxious to know, what is it?

I'm not that skinny. 165 lbs. That's perfect for my age.

Perhaps you're actually a mutant and are growing wings... lol

It's probably just muscle spasms, and of course anything you are anxious about will appear much more noticeable to you than other people who aren't actually looking FOR it.

Winged scapula can often happen without any cause at all. Sometimes this is caused by weak muscles or an injury, but usually only on one side. Are you involved in athetics? Sometimes an injury can cause this - but if it is both shoulder blades, it is probably just the way you are.

Do your rib bones cave (pectus excavatum) in or protrude out (pectus carnitum)? Sometimes one of these may accompany winging of the shoulder blades, but not all of the time.

Tell your doctor when your chest hurts (after exertion, or when you don't even exert, for example). Let him know if you have any questions at all -- write them down before you go!

Here are a few exercises -- show them to your doctor and see if they would work for you. (Do check with a doctor before trying them!)

Good luck!
