Well, he told me that he went to a gay bar the other night. Well, he is an open-minded guy, but I still thought it was strange because I don't know that many straight men would go to a gay bar...and my other guy friends think it's really weird.
Is it normal/okay for a straight guy to go to a gay bar? I have nothing against him going...he can do what he wants...I just find it a little weird.

If he went alone i wouldnt think its too normal, but i know a few friends who are definately straight , and go to gay bars because they play good music.
I wouldnt grill him about it, as you may encourage him to maybe do something ..... if he brings any dudes home ..... well you know what you would have to do

I personally don't think that there is anything wrong with that, but I do understand your concern about the issue. You fear that he may be gay or bisexual for going to a gay bar, but keep in mind that he told you about it. From the way you tell it, he doesn't seem to have a problem with telling you about it, so he obviously doesn't have anything to hide from you. He probably went with somebody one time, and he liked it. So, now he goes all the time. If you are still kind of apprehensive about it, you can ask him if you can go with him. If nothing weird is going on, he should have no real problem with you tagging along. If he does, ask why you can't go.

So he went once - its not like he joined a membership. Lay off, he was just checking out, maybe he didn't know it was a gay bar until he got there. My brother is definitely not gay but if there was a gay bar in town he would still go just cuz.......... why not??? Now if he keeps going, and you find him changing the way he dresses or really dressing up b4 he goes "clubbing w the boys" then you got problems girl..............

NOooooooooooooo Not normal for a guy who is in a relationship to go to a gay bar. Maybe he is confused cause he doesnt no if he wants to be the girlfriend or boyfriend in the relation ship you say he is openminded but maybe his mind is open just a little too open if you know what i mean girl.

Girl, Im on the same page as you with the whole open minded thing BUT it is alittle weird.Maybe you should follow him(NOT STALKING) and see what he does.It all really depends though...does he give you any signs that he MIGHT be gay? Going to a gay bar isnt really a guy thing I would say, but im not going to judge him.If things get really weird LEAVE as soon as possible.I wish you luck Sweety Happy New Years.

I'm straight and went to gay bars, but I worked in thatre so that's where my friends were going. If he is just going there out of the blue you might be a little concerned.
Now I'm married and in a different line of work so I don't go to gay bars.

I wouldn't believe him..Maybe he wants you to think that he went to a guy bar so you will get all worried and in a panic..so when he says..he went to a straight nuddie bar..you will be releived that he isn't gay and you won't mind that he goes.

Sorry to say it but he has alittle sugar in him. Would you find it fun going to a lesbian bar if you are straight? My husband would go to a strip club w/ girls, but never a gay bar. He is probably bi., just not out of the closet yet.

Kinda depends on the guy... I'm extremely straight (I LOOOOOVE girls and their girly parts...) but I would go to a gay bar (and have in the past)...
Its flattering to find a guy who thinks your hot... doesn't change that you want to put Mr. willikers into your lovely lady.... or do other things with her...
Just talk to him about why - and if its a non-cool answer... then maybe you've got to do some rethinking about your boy...
But, pretty much us guys like girley bits....
