Well pre-marital sex is prohibited in every major religion, not just Islam and that is the primary point so as long as you can avoid that (if you are a religious person) I don't see any harm in it.
And dude, it's between you and God so if over-enthusiastic people give theories here binding your life, ignore them and think about the fact that no one has to live your life or be presented before God for your acts.
I eventually married my GF of six years and yes, I am a Muslim. if anyone thinks I will go to hell for that well they can kiss my ****.
Cheers

It is not wrong to have a girl friend or to love somebody. But in Islam, Allah has stated the rules between women and man that is not married yet.

Thus, u have to know what is the rules and limits between man and women. In Islam, women and man can't touch each other, it is sins to do that, whats more if u kiss somebody which is not ur "muhrim", it is sins.

U have to study more young man, the basic rules of Islam if u want to be a good muslims.

Having a girlfriend is not against with islamic religion. But a guy should treat his girlfriend in line with islamic religion.Adultery or having sex and kissing on her lips, before marriage is prohibited. You can not go out both with your girlfriend without the permi- ssion of her parents and your girlfriend should be accompanied by her brother or sister.(her muhrim)..Your girlfriend should use Jilbab if she is approached by you because you are not her muh-
rim..You can shake hand with her and kiss only her arms.
