If your husband is being promoted in his duty uniform, it can be less formal...more like casual. If he is wearing his Class A Uniform, you should wear a nice dress and kids should wear slacks/collar shirt, or dress as well (Like Church Clothes.

Congratulations to both of you!!!

Wear a dress or business suit. Nothing formal are you would have been told. I know when my husband was in the Army being promoted we was told what type of clothing since we had big ceremony that day. Tell your husband we said Thank you for serving our Country.

A nice suit would be fine. Business attire is usually enough, if the ceremony were formal you most likely would have been told, or your husband would have.

Congratulations to your husband on his permotion and Please give him my personal thanks for serving our Country.

as a minimum i would wear semi casual but as in a larger squadron i would wear full dress attire or formal wear. he will be wearing his best you might as well too. unless of course he is wearing BDU's but then definately wear semi casual. if kids, let them be comfortable.
