Dear Jessiguri... I just used that word because is the one I usually see written around here. And, to be sincere, technically speaking, if you are mexican, in Spanish you can perfectly be called latino. Sorry if you do not like it, but the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language in Spain would admit that... in spanish. In English, you can call yourself however you want.

Being a teacher for twenty-one years in Southern California, sadly I think of a dumb student that fails my class. This is not a preconceived notion nor is it pre-judging. It is a sad fact that most, not a few, and not some, but MOST Latins (Mexicans in my case) are not interested in education. They can't wait to get out of school and work at their uncle's car detailing business or some other dead-end career. I wish I had a better association, but it is the Mexicans that have given me this stereotype.
