Under UK law, Poker money is considered 'gambling winnings' and as such you don't have to pay any taxes on them. Poker is not considered to be a profession, a trade or even a job. If you want to stay on benefits while playing Poker professionally, you must look for a job like everyone else on benefits, or your money will be cut off. But if you are a true 'professional' you won't ever be needing any benefits.

I would say Daniel Negreanu, he knows exactly what his oppponent is holding most of the time and tells them after the hand, watching him in the WSOP was amazing. Also, Doyle Brunson if he were 30 years younger during this poker boom he would be the best

i think Phil Ivey is the best all around poker player. He's known to have a great tournament record as well as playing in the biggest cash games in the world. He's well respected, known to have great instincts, and to his peers as one of the best. He knows all the games, plays all the games, and is young enough to potentially be the best.
