Found out my older sister is sleeping with my husband of 35 yrs. She was living with me ,after death of her husband. She brought gun into house and was drugging me so they could be together. Told people I'm an addict (lie). When conforted about everything I was arrested, they said I threatened to kill them,( I didn't), I was the one beat up. When I'm at my house in another state she is at my house in AZ. using it as her own. I am still married to my husband, not in the sexual sense, (alot of assets to divide). She works for the Sheriffs Dept. when I come into town she tells them lies and they think I am the bad guy.She has told me if I cause her any trouble she can get away with anything now. Thing is, alot of weird stuff is happening to her and she is blaming me, but its not me. I think she is doing this stuff to frame me. How do I protect myself, since she works for the Sheriff and they believe her. She is a fantastic actress. She is capable of anything. I went to Auth. made it worse

I'd hire a lawyer. You can sue her for slander. She will have to prove all the things she says about you are true. If she can't - you win. And after you win, you can go back to the authorities and press charges against her for filing a false police report.
If she can't prove you are an addict, and you have proof that she tells people this...this is slander.
You can also probably have a restraining order filed against her. I'd definitely look into it.
Once you get a lawyer if it comes out that the sheriff is not properly doing his job you can sue the department too. Provided you can get witnesses to testify, you can end up winning a lot of money.

What exactly does your sister do for the sheriff's dept. if she is a deputy then you need to go to her supervisor or directly to the sheriff and inform them of what is going on. Most place will have a un-bias investigator come in and do an investigation on the individual and see what has been going on if they find that they have been having an affair and lying generally they are fired from the department due to they not being trustworthy and not meeting police officers standards.

But yes you can file a restraining order against your sister just go down to your courthouse and fill out the necessary paperwork and she will be served with it. You may want to think about hiring a private eye because after the person is served with the restraining order after 90 days (I believe thats the right time frame) you have to go to court and fight to either have the restraining order left in place or they can have it removed.

A restraining order isn't worth the paper its written on and it only last for about 10 days in some states. Biggest question here is why would you want to stay in this situation? So you have a lot of assets to divide.....that can be done with you somewhere else NOT in the house. You first should get a lawyer, file for divorce, then move on with your life. I also agree with Ali-- put distance between yourself and this evil duo. Then I would suggest you might want to try the following to create a more serene, safe, and principled life for yourself in the future:

*Read or listen to Stephen Covey's "The 8th Habit".

You CAN have a different life!

Get a good lawyer. This is too weird. You need proper help. I am sorry that you had this happen, but at least you got out of it alive. Did she kill her husband? It sounds like she's capable of anything.

Your sister apparently thinks she is ABOVE THE LAW-----which SHE IS NOT! File assualt charges on her in the county in which you lived when the assualt took place. You are entitled to what si right. Also dont hesitate on getting a restraining order.

Hire a private eye, to catch her red handed.

Or, snoop on her, then present your case for a restraining order.
