My daughter's biological father hasn't been involved in her life except for 3 child support payments in 9 months but my fiance` has taken on full financial responsibility for the both of us since he brought both of us out here to see him across the United States. He loves her like she is his own daughter and he accepts her like his own. I have asked her biological father in the past to give up parental rights but he has refused. Her biological father can't keep a job and doesn't partake any interest in her. We came clear across the United States and I informed him before we left and asked if he wanted to see her and he told me that he did not want to see her. I'm looking for information to help me out. My fiance` is in the military and do you think it would be helpful to get a legal document saying that my fiance` wants to take on full responsibility for my daughter to help her biological father to sign off parental rights to a child he doesn't acknowledge. Thanks

By the sounds of it, it seems like this guy is a real jerk. But he is not going to make it easy on you. He probably blames you for the break up and would like nothing to make you feel worse. It would be a tough fight getting the rights signed over because he probably thinks he has his pride too. Also, they look at the fact that it will make him look bad on his part to sign the rights over. So I would have to agree that the courts will have to step in on this one. You've got a battle on your hands.

sounds like the two considered one of you're in simple terms truly irresponsible. He has each acceptable to be in his daughters existence if he truly desires to be....and probably may well be prepared to pay help besides if that have been the case. besides the undeniable fact that, he desires to appreciate for beneficial no be counted if or no longer he's the daddy. possibly he will settle for the duty if he's....and enable you to recognize the place you are able to desire to go if he's no longer. Did you ever think of perhaps he did no longer have the money to deliver? you have made some nasty accusations approximately him yet devoid of information, the court docket will side along with his rights simply by fact the daddy if that's so. Being a dad could desire to easily substitute his existence for the greater effective. pondering you made the choice to have intercourse with him interior the 1st place, he could have some redeeming characteristics does he no longer?

I would file a petition to terminate parental rights on behalf of your daughter (in family court). If he doesn't show which sounds like he wouldn't then it would be considered uncontested and should be awarded.
