Honestly you might as well give up on meeting a nice man - you will just end up with someone that is a good lier. If you choose to proceed then you might try going to religious services for whatever faith you are in or inclined to. Or pick a hobby you like or would like him to have and go to groups meetings or events for people with that hobby.

Go to a public library or something and make conversation with someone who looks like a nice person to talk to. Are you planning on becoming more than friends with this "nice man"? Just be easy to talk to and always smile and look approachable. It is bound to get you somewhere! Hope this helps!
