Can I download a CD burning program if my computer doesn't have a CD burner?

I visiting over the holidays, and using my sister's laptop which doesn't burn CD's. Will the laptop burn CD's if I download a CD burning program? If so...what program would you suggest?

As the others have already said, you can download the software, but it still won't burn CDs. You MUST have a drive that can burn, a CD writer drive.

Some burning software (Nero for example) can create .img (image files) which are images of a CD kept on the computers hard drive. Another program called Alcohol 120% can create a virtual CD drive on your hard drive, where you can put the .IMG file, and run it just like its a real CD. But there is no way to burn it if you don't have a burner.
