Yes it does a little bit. The dentist will put a shot of novacain to numb the area to pull them or if you prefer put you out. They pull the teeth, you bite down on gauze until the bleeding stops, then you have to be careful what you eat, how you bruth, and watch for a nasty thing called dry socket. your dentist will give you instructions. I had 4 teeth out for braces as a child, wisdom teeth and one abscessed tooth pulled. It only hurts a little bit while you're biting that gauze IF the bleeding hasn't stopped before the novacain wears off. My last tooth the abscessed one did not hurt at all when pulled nor did it bleed but I got dry socket which is very painful, the hole is supposed to bleed as it flushes things out and forms a clot to start the healing process, mine didn't do that for some reason probably the bad infection. I'm sure you will be fine.

Once the needles take effect it doesn't hurt thay just give it a quick pull and its out. Does feel a bit gross afterward though with all the blood clotting in your mouth where the tooth was.

hi, u dont have to worry abt.dentist always gives a local analgesics to prevent the pain. you have also better option like root canal treatment which may be done to save the tooth.

they loosen them up with a root elevator (kinda like a screwdriver) and if needed with forceps (pliers)
don't worry, with the new local anesthetics the pain is a thing of the past (sometimes)
