It depends on the age at which they went blind. Some people dream about past events, faces or situations. If they went blind at a very young age they usually dream about colors, smells, sounds or known images. Some blind people report dreaming composites of previous events mixed with current sounds events, or replacing people's faces with others they actually knew. Some other blind people dream with light stimuli, but not with actual images.

I believe the book is out of print, but if you can find it, "Touching the Rock" by John M Hull talks about this a little bit in his descriptions of what it is like to become blind later in life. Its an amazing read, and highly recommended for anybody interested in this topic.

Yes and they desperately try to cling to images that are memories some times. But like with everyone,.. the image erodes. Like wise, some times their dreams erode or are warped.
Then they have a vivid dream from time to time and they have to suffer all day thinking of how things looked.
Whoever said " it is better to have loved and lost then to have not loved at all " didn't lose anything important by that point in their life. The fantasy is always better then to have a taste. The fantasy can be anything,.. but the taste is what has been stolen from you.

You know.. That's a nice question.. But in my opinion i think they do... Because they can still listen and they still have the images they saw before they became blind... And like, sometimes when you listen to something really carefully, like reading a book.... Like,if you get really into it your mind can visualize what you read... But,in the blind-person's-case it's listen... In other words.. If they can listen, they can have dreams....
P.S: sorry if you didn't understand that much but I'm not really good at explaining...

I would imagine so, just think of it like this: right now, you have dreams, imagine you lose your sight a few years down the road, you would still have memories of what things look like. You don't actually see dreams with your eyes, they are in your mind. All you can "see" when you dream is the inside of your eyelids. So, yes t answer your question.

Studies have ..........shown that congenitally blind dreamers and those who became blind in infancy do not have visual imagery in their dreams, whereas those blinded in adolescence or young adulthood often retain visual mental imagery in their waking life and in their dreams.
Check the link below.. some interesting facts.....

no i do no longer think of so, i think of their desires are in simple terms sound. yet people who grew to grow to be blind for the time of their lives are able to dream approximately something they observed in the past they lost their ingenious and prescient, i understand that lots.

Who said dreams are visual only? You can hear, taste, smell and feel things that are in dreams.
